Event Details
This course is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of participants in the organization and management of rural cooperative societies. Specifically, at the end of the course, participants should be able to:
- Identify constraints militating against effective management of rural cooperative societies in Nigeria;
- List the benefits of organizing rural communities into cooperative societies;
- Facilitate access to external support for their various projects; and
- Plan and manage cooperative enterprises.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY
The training methodology combines lectures, discussions, group exercises and illustrations. Participants will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the topics. The emphasis is on the practical application of the topics and as a result participant will go back to the workplace with both the ability and the confidence to apply the techniques learned to their duties.
